Wise Girls Run is a running program for young girls in grades 3rd-5th at J. W. Wiseman Elementary. The Wise Girls Run coaches have been trained in the "Girls on the Run" program. GOTR is " A transformational learning program for 8 to 13 year-old girls that teaches life skills through dynamic, conversation-based lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event."
This site will be used as a resource for Wise Girls Run participants. It will include important dates and information regarding weekly sessions, practice runs, and the final 5k. Snapshots of the Wise Girls Run practice sessions will also be posted. In addition, the sessions "Sweat Queen" and Wise Girls Run volunteers will be showcased.
